A Washington state sheriff’s deputy was shot and killed within the line of responsibility Saturday evening after responding to a report of a disabled automobile blocking a roadway, officers mentioned.
Deputy Justin DeRosier, 29, had arrived on the scene northeast of Kalama round 10 p.m., the Cowlitz County Sheriff’s Workplace wrote on Fb.
DeRosier was shot quickly afterwards and acquired medical care. He died at a close-by hospital, officers mentioned.

Different circumstances surrounding the capturing had been unclear. The sheriff’s workplace introduced it had discovered a “particular person of curiosity” within the capturing and was following leads.
“Deputy DeRosier made a big impact in his quick profession and can without end stay in our hearts and thoughts,” the sheriff’s workplace wrote.
