A certificates of inspection for the Missouri vacationer boat that sank final month, killing 17 individuals, reveals that it was on the lake at a time when the wind velocity far exceeded allowable limits.

The Coast Guard on Wednesday introduced it has convened a proper Marine Board of Investigation into the accident involving a Trip the Geese of Branson boat. The vessel sank July 19 at Desk Rock Lake.

The lake was calm when the tour started, however climate turned violent and the boat sank inside minutes.
